So, let's talk Appartamento. Even before the beautiful aesthetics of the machine catch my eye, the first standout feature was the ease of setup. My daily machine is a Nuova Simonelli Musica, so I had an idea as to what to expect. However, the Appartamento exceeded those expectations and was as easy as removing from the box, plugging the machine in, filling the water reservoir, and flipping the on/off switch.

The Natural State Criterium Series is definitely one of my favorite race weekends of the season. Nestled up in Northwest Arkansas they offer three great days of racing with venues in Bentonville, Rogers, & Springdale. The staff & volunteers are top notch and provide a full weekend of big time racing with a grassroots flair. Onyx Coffee is a must and craft beer is never far away. Be on the lookout for their 2019 dates, pull out your sharpie and make sure they're on your schedule!

It's crazy how time flies. We just passed the six year anniversary since Coffee walked into my life, or maybe I stumbled into theirs. It's hard to believe that for almost 30 years, I missed out on all the great things coffee has to offer. I'm not sure if the initial love was of coffee, or for the coffee community, who welcomed me each morning with a smile. I definitely owe my friends at Elemental Coffee and Steve Willingham (doing great things at Clarity Coffee) to this coffee passion and for the smiles when I needed them the most.
